     Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center opened March of 2016 with the strong belief we could provide the youth, adults and families of Polk Country, Arkansas and surrounding areas with an alternative source of entertainment and fitness outside that of the typical gym setting.

     Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center is a family run establishment. Richard and Pearl Hexamer along with their son Jeremiah opened the center with the help and support of their whole family, both here locally and out of state.      After the Hexamer family experiences, a tremendous loss of a very dear family member, they started thinking of ways to give the youth and adults of the community an alternate way to spend their time. An alternative to hanging on the streets getting into trouble or just sitting at home on the couch with video games. It was at this time that they decided to open the Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center to challenge others both mentally and physically to better themselves. Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center gives them a place where they can feel like they belong and to work hard to achieve their goals in life with the loving, caring support of people who will listen to them and help them grow.  Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center is strong supporters of Veterans, active duty military (all branches) and our local Law Enforcement.

     Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center works with people of all ages from 4 years old to 60+ years old. They also work with people of all physical levels from the experienced athlete to the ones who have never been involved in sports and the elderly who just want to stay active. Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center give everyone the chance to explore the art of boxing, whether for fun or fitness. Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center also allows for those that want to compete on a serious level in a no pressure setting. Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center provides training in traditional Boxing as well as cardio and strength training.

     Defender’s Boxing/Family Sports Center strives to make that one kid feel important and that they can and do something. We strive to give the lady that has been abused the assurance that she can stand up for herself and not take the abuse. Our belief is to save that one person and to make a difference in the lives we touch.
